11. Club Flyer made with Photoshop

In this assignment, I combined 3 of the 4 text elements I learned in class and put it all in one photoshop image. First, I used the Photo text effect which uses a simple text then used a clipping mask to reveal a photo underneath. Second, I used the Plastic Text effect, then the Glass text effect. Lastly, I added two photos of volleyballs to make the flyer stand out.

12. Suit Fabric made with Photoshop

In this assignment, I combined a suit with a fabric I found online. I learned in class how to merge(clip) the fabric and put it in the suit and put the original suit, fabric, and new fabricated suit in one photoshop image. First, I used the magnetic lasso to show photoshop what I wanted to put the fabric on to. Second, I put the fabric on the same layer, then I put all three photos together.

13. Food Bank Flyer made with Photoshop

In this assignment, I used a gradient background. I created the "new food" by combining a skittles bag with berries. I used the Magnetic Lasso Tool. The benefit of eating berries over skittles is getting more vitamins and less sugar and carbohydrates, which can be for the better. The NYC FOOD BANK Logo was used solely for educational purpose. No Copy Right infringement was intended.

14. Carved Pumpkin made with Photoshop

In this assignment, I used a gradient radical background. I created the "carved pumpkin" by getting a photo of a pumpkin without carvings. Then i drew out the eyes nose and mouth, and used the magic wand to select it and make it transparent. Then I used blending options to make it "light up", and finally added the shine effect on the outside by using a white brush with 50% opacity.

15A. Image on a Brick Wall made with Photoshop

In this assignment, I learned how to mix two different elements of a photo, A brick wall , and a SF city of champions image. First, I had to look online for a brick wall. Second, I had to find a picture to put on that brick wall. Third, I duplicated the wall layer and desaturized it. Then, I combined it all in one image.

15B. Image on a Face made with Photoshop

In this assignment, I learned how to mix two different elements of a photo, A face , and a 49ers logo image. First, I had to look online for a face, but who better than a franchise captain. Second, I had to find a picture to put on that brick wall, but what complements a good player. Third, I duplicated the Crabtree picture layer and desaturized it. Then, I combined it all in one image.

16. Motion Blur

In this assignment, I learned how to blur a pictures background and make only the object I want to appear clear. First, I opened my photo as a smart object. Second, I used the blur filter to blur the image. Lastly, I used the eraser to erase the blur on the object I wanted to be clear.

16. Quick Mask

In this assignment, I learned how to use the quick mask process to easily select an area that I wanted selected. I had to turn on the quick mask mode, then I painted the area Red because that is what I want to select, then I turned off the Quick Mask Mode, inversed my selection, and finally added a gradient. 

18. Soft Focus Effect

In this assignment, I learned how to use the Soft Focus Effect in Photoshop. First, I found the filter then applied the blur using Smart Objects. Then I masked the layer. 

19. USB Drive using Illustrator 

In this assignment, I learned how to first understand the interface of Illustrator and secondly, create a USB drive using shapes and gradients.

20. Phone using Illustrator

In this assignment, I learned how to further understand Illustrator, and create a phone using 42 steps. I used all kinds of shapes and gradients and this final product was created. This has been a good learning experience because I successfully created a object in this program which I first thought was "impossible" to figure out.

This marking period I learned how to do different things with Abode Photoshop and Illustrator. I learned how to do from a regular flyer to a 3D-phone. I gained knowledge and will continue to.
